Howdy, folks!
When we started this group, nearly 9 years ago, I don't think we realized at the time just how many people would completely fail to follow the rules and instructions for submitting.
Back when we were a very active group, it became pretty clear that asking people to resubmit their work to the right category, or sifting through all the items that didn't even have red hair or freckles in them, would be a pretty big time commitment that we weren't willing to make. So, we just started rejecting all submissions that went to the wrong category.

Rules need to be updated - Let's talk.
Hi everybody, just a word now and updates later. First I just wanted to say that if sometimes we don't have a minute to explain why a deviation was declined, it could mean that you didn't take that minute yourself to read the rules. Why would I get in the galleries, find the deviation and move it after I accepted it if you submit it with your eyes closed without even reading the folders name? We'll throw it back at you showing the same care than you did, and it's not even true, most of the time I browse galleries to find something else because I feel bad declining deviations, i try to suggest two when I declined one, but the time admins have
